Northwest Missouri State University basketball games in Joplin and Pittsburg, KS this weekend have been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.
The Bearcat women's and men's basketball teams were slated for doubleheaders against Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. Those games have been moved to different dates as teams continue to adjust schedules amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The doubleheader in Pittsburg, KS will now be played January 2, 2021 with a 5:30pm start time for the women's game and 7:30pm for the men.
The matchup with Missouri Southern is rescheduled for February 2, 2021 with tip-off times of 5:30pm and 7:30pm in Joplin.
The Bearcat women's team is 3-2 after a last-second victory over Missouri Western.
The Northwest men's team is 3-0, but haven't played a game since December 5 due to COVID-19.
